The Foggy Downfall. Mini Vent.

Is it just me, or are the most prominent social sites losing their touch? I understand losing interest because of the years you've been there... especially DA. But let's take YT for an example:

Everyone is enjoying the current social layout. It works perfectly for the Officials and Originals, all in all it is a great deal of fun for the RPers, socializing personalities and getting the video editors works shown to the world. On March 7th, however, they're automatically upgrading to this degraded layout that damages all these key factors that make the site itself so successful. Once upon a time we had a choice to choose the layout or not but that has been recently taken away.

I really don't understand this. YouTube is damaging itself by not listening to its users on what they want and how to keep it that way.

Part of me feels that it's in response to the recently stopped bills, SOPA & PIPA, and the site is limiting its social outlets in an attempt to stay out of trouble. Which is really ridiculous, even I'll admit, but it helps me not to stay as pissed off.
